Abstract

|
Synovial chondromatosis is a rare metaplastic condition of the synovial membrane charac-
terized by multiple cartilagenous and osteocartilagenous nodules of the synovium and loose bodies.
In this case of synovial chondormatosis which involved the right knee joint of a thirty five year old female, more than two hundreds of cartilagenous loose bodies were found and the synovial membrane revealed the sequence of forming the cartilagenous bodies.
